How Laughter was Created
The apple wasn't her worst sin
The snake did not cause Eve to grin.
The devil didn't make her gasp
The Lord Himself couldn't make her laugh.
Perhaps it wasn't God's intent
for Eve to notice Man erect.
Perhaps He meant for her to be
enthused --- but with more charity.
But when He showed her Adam's master,
Eve's reaction was disaster.
Her first response to Adam's rise
made living hell of Paradise.
